Do you know Christ? Do you know what His Gospel is?
If not, you're in the right place. You need to be here. Eternity is nothing to mess around with.
It's going to happen, and you need to know where you will spend it.
And it all begins with Jesus...

Why did Jesus die anyway? Maybe you've wondered. Maybe it doesn't make sense to you why a perfect and holy God would leave a place like Heaven to die such a brutal death. You are the reason.
-Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
-Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
That's all of us. We've sinned. We are unclean in the eyes of God. Not worthy of heaven.

"So, I'm a sinner. What exactly does that mean for me?"
-Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
-Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
The wages of sin? Yes, a wage. Just like you earn for the job you have. The wages for our sin is death, and Hell. Death is separation. We've all experienced it. Losing a family member, a friend...someone that we love. And we are separated...we can't see them anymore. Death and Hell is eternal separation...from God...in a lake of fire. "But WAIT," you might think..."I'm just not that bad. I mean, there's some pretty bad stuff mentioned in that verse up there!" But God knew we might think that. So, what's at the end of the verse? "...and all liars shall have their part..."
And it gets us there. Because at some point, we've lied about something. All of us. And the penalty for that sin is hell.

"Ok. I know now that I'm on my way to hell. The Bible is clear. I NEED HELP!!! " That's where the Gospel comes in. The awesome, amazing Gospel. The Gospel IS the death, burial, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, according to the Scriptures.
-I Corinthians 15:1a "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel..."
-I Corinthians 15:2a "by which also ye are saved..."
-I Corinthians 15:3b "how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;"
-I Corinthians 15:4 "And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
This proves that He IS GOD. And he died for us, while we were in our sin. Look below:
-Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
So, he died for us, while yet sinners. We don't get cleaned up for a bath; we take one to get clean. We don't have to clean up our lives before we come to Christ. He does the cleansing.

Us means everyone. Jesus died for everyone. But it doesn't mean you're going to Heaven. Not yet.
-Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
We receive Christ by calling on the name of the Lord.
-Romans 6:23b "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
-I John 5:11-12 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."
Salvation is a gift. When you are presented with a gift, it becomes yours once you receive it. Like at your last birthday. To receive the gift of eternal life, you must receive the Son.
-Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."
Again, salvation is a gift. Something you receive. And faith? You put your faith in something every day. When you sit down on a chair, when you drive to work. You are trusting in that chair, your car...to do what you need them to do. Many people know that Jesus died for them and rose again, but you must trust in Him as sufficient payment for your sin. You are saved by grace through faith.

You're ready. You know what you need to do. It's time to receive Christ. If the Lord Jesus is willing to receive you just as you are, aren't you willing to receive Him just as He is?
