Is the Word of God Essential? "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." In answering these questions, let us recall the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Every Christian will survive this hour of temptation through the Word of God. We do not know the day of our death, but we do know that the Word of God is able to feed our hungry soul. Every lost soul dying of the Coronavirus needs more than a ventilator. He or she is desperate for eternal life. John 3:14-15 states, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." Two areas that believers must be conscious of during this time--
In conclusion, the Lord is able to comfort our hearts through daily feasting on the Word of God. Yes, I believe the Word of God is essential.
